Be the Opposite of a Quitter

Given that Friday was “Quitters Day,” I’m dubbing today PERSEVERANCE DAY to celebrate everyone who Keeps Going to achieve their goals in spite of motivation challenges and old habits pulling you back to where you started.

I have these excellent, red hand-pads and kicking shields you may have seen being used in class, which aren’t made anymore.

They were some of the very first pieces of training gear I ordered when I first opened my school in Longmont back in 1998.

I had the school name put on them, but it’s not Scornavacco Martial Arts Academy.

The funny thing is, no one has ever asked me about the name on the pads; perhaps they figured I got them off ebay or something.

Here’s a picture so you can see the name of the original school:

TAKE ACTION Family Karate (still the legal name of the school).

When I moved from South Florida to Colorado just to open the school I knew at that time I had to stop thinking & planning and Do It, Take Action.

Once I got here, that one idea, to take action and do something TODAY was so transformational to me that I put it on the school name as a constant reminder of what it takes to succeed.

Contrary to popular belief, you can’t just Think and Grow Rich or “manifest” your dreams — You have to actually get off the couch.

So take action and do something today, anything, to reaffirm your commitment to your goal(s).

It’s the only way your life will change.
