The American Kenpo program is for students who like a logical, step-by-step, left-brain approach to learning the martial arts. Kenpo has a well-structured curriculum which follows the traditional belt-rank advancement process until Black Belt.

Kenpo is a principle-based self-defense system that is taught by technique “examples”. Each technique that the student learns highlights and illustrates a particular principle of motion. Students learn the principle by technique practice and then expand on the principle to use it in various different attacks and self-defense scenarios until it becomes ingrained and spontaneously useful.

What is Fitness Kickboxing?
Fitness Kickboxing is a cardio-vascular workout based on martial art techniques. The 45-minute class teaches basic karate moves with an aerobics twist. The class is set to music and the bags are the only things that get hit. The class starts with a rhythmic limbering warm-up, and then progresses to the best workout of your life! Students get to use their own heavy bag to punch and kick so they can establish their own pace. Class then winds down with some strengthening exercises, pushups, and abdominal work, before ending with a well-deserved stretching routine.
